If you require a workshop repair please contact us on 01442 251-514. Our workshop is based in Hemel Hempstead and service the Home Counties (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire). KCS currently undertake repairs from customers in Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Watford, Abbots Langley, Kings Langley, Tring, St. Albans, Harpenden, Hatfield, Aylesbury, Dunstable, Barnet, Chesham, Amersham, Luton and London.

WS01 - Complete PC Repair

  • Virus & Malware Removal
  • Any Software Issues (excludes bespoke software or training)

WS02 - Full Operating System Reinstall

Includes a full reinstall of operating system to the latest service pack.

All current security updates and drivers (excludes any data backup and software installations, please see service below)

WS03 - Programs Reinstall

Includes installation and activation of all customer supplied software (Media and software licenses to be provided)

Includes Office, Email configuration, Anti-Virus, Sage, iTunes and Skype.

Additional programs as advised by KCS representative. Please note, this does not include bespoke software, incompatible games, etc.

WS04 - Data Transfer

Please note that this service is not a Data Backup Solution it is simply a data transfer solution. If your data is valuable to you, it is very important that you have a fully tested Data Backup Solution in place. Speak to one of our Sales Staff if you require this service. Our engineers cannot guarantee your data integrity or that data will not be lost - this is why you need a tested Data Backup Solution.

This service by default includes all users data as located in the Windows default User Data locations.(documents, web browsing favourites, music, pictures, videos)
Also includes files and folders as specified by the customer (excludes cost of external media).

Note that data will be copied to a single folder name "Data Backup" on the backup media as supplied by yourself. In the case of a PC reinstall this data will be placed on your Desktop in a folder named "Data Backup"

WS06 - Specialist Soft Data Recovery Service

Data recovery to media of your choice. If there is a hardware failure we will need to re-quote.

Where necessary KCS offers an optional specialised laboratory data recovery service.

Note that data will be copied to a single folder name "Data Backup" on the backup media as supplied by yourself.

Diagnose, recommend & install additional memory (price excludes the cost of memory)

Repair or replace any faulty power socket on the laptop. This service includes the cost of the replacement power socket

Valid if purchased with a workshop repair item. Discounted remote support for 15, 30 or 60 minutes after workshop repair.

WS12 - Certified Data Wipe

Full data wipe with certification and HDD return, destruction or recycling

WS13 - Collection and Delivery Service

Collection or Delivery each way within a 3 mile radius of KCS. Please contact us for Collection or Delivery if outside of the radius

WS14 - Insurance Letter

Brief assessment of the economy of the repair in the case of obvious damage to product. This service includes a supply of a letter to the customer's insurance company

WS15 - Queue Jump

Prioritises an urgent repair by ensuring an engineer will start working on your job within 1.5 hours.

Please note the Queue Jump does not guarantee that the unit will be repaired within 1.5 hours however it does prioritise an Engineer to look at your repair within 1.5 hours and thus removes any queuing time from the total repair time your would normally receive. For example if the Workshop is busy your repair could typically only be looked at with 24 hours of being booked in. A Queue Jump removes this delay.

WS16 - Full System Prep

  • Includes the preparation of new machine by configuring the Operating System.
  • Installation of all Operating System updates.
  • Removal of all unwanted vendor applications (marketing, "bloatware", etc.).
  • Set up of users on machine.
